Licentiam, Inc. is seeking a professional, reliable, detail- oriented and highly organized individual to serve as a Medical Licensing Specialist. This person will work under the supervision of the Director of Medical Affairs, assisting with the Licensing process. This job is a full-time position that requires the participation in a 2-month specialized training or passing the Licensing Specialist knowledge and skills test. Come join us today!

Primary Responsibilities Include but are not Limited To

  • Requesting and verifying documentation and information pertaining to provider credentials and certifications for licensure.
  • Completing medical license applications and renewals in a timely and efficient manner following the board regulations and their guidelines
  • Reviewing applications, transcripts, and other required confidential documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Acting as a liaison between medical board, medical institutions, and providers
  • Obtaining updates on the status of applications and reporting progress
  • Providing matter expertise consultation and guidance to different providers and medical organizations
  • Presenting licensure progress to the team lead
  • Supervising and delegating work to the licensing assistants
  • Providing training to new employees
  • Keeping up to date with changing laws and regulations that affect area of work

Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Drive and Adobe Acrobat)
  • Management skills
  • Leadership experience
  • Superior administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives with on-the-job training and not afraid to think outside of the box to address challenges in a rapidly growing business environment
  • Ability to operate printers, copiers, and fax machines to file, photocopy, and scan documentation

Job Type

Part-Time / Full-Time. Post-training Work from Home options available for qualified candidates.

Relevant Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience working with a variety of provider types- MD/DO/PA, Nurses, Allied Health Providers, and Behavioral Health
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of full-time experience in medical licensing, medical regulation or credentialing
